The Hartford 2010 Final Report, developed by the City of Hartford and the MetroHartford Alliance in the summer of 2007, identified six "tridents" (major intersections) in the city that would provide excellent locations to focus on for development.
The report suggested that each of the tridents be explored by a subcommittee, charged with making recommendations for changes in the land use, zoning, transportation infrastructure, streetscape improvements, and other aspects of the intersections.
